Samet Corporation Summer 2027 Internship Program

Ready to build something real? Samet's Summer Internship Program puts you on active construction projects across the Southeast, working alongside experienced professionals who've chosen construction as their career. You'll see how projects move from plan to reality—from preconstruction through closeout—and understand what it takes to lead teams, manage complex schedules, and deliver excellence on every job site.

Our Summer 2027 Internship program will start on May 24, 2027 and run through August 23, 2027.

Locations

Samet Corporation has six regional offices across the Southeast: Greensboro, NC (headquarters); Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; Wilmington, NC; Charleston, SC; and Savannah, GA. Internship positions are available across all regional offices based on project needs and geographic preference.

What You'll Do

• Assist project managers and superintendents with daily construction operations on active job sites
• Support project documentation, including daily reports, RFIs, and change orders
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, and client interactions
• Contribute to estimating and preconstruction activities
• Assist with safety inspections and quality control processes

What You Bring

• Currently enrolled as a college student (construction management, engineering, or related major preferred)
• Previous construction or related industry experience (preferred)
• Familiarity with construction software such as Procore, AutoCAD, or Revit (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work in both office and construction site environments
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Additional Requirements

Physical Demands: A field-intensive role with regular time on active construction sites and periodic office work. Frequently required to stand, walk (including on rough or uneven surfaces), climb stairs and ladders, bend, and wear appropriate PPE. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Environment: A combination of active construction sites in various stages of completion and a professional office environment, with noise and light levels ranging from low to high. Regular travel between job sites and offices across the assigned region is required.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use construction industry standard software such as Procore. Basic familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.
