Emplify Health by Gundersen’s Elroy Family Medicine Clinic is seeking a Family Medicine physician to join our collaborative primary care team. This position is primarily based in Elroy, with occasional coverage at our Wonewoc and Hillsboro clinic locations, all located within approximately eight miles.

You will join a collegial team of two Family Medicine physicians and six Advanced Practice Clinicians while caring for patients across the lifespan in a team-based practice environment with strong specialty support and access to Epic, connecting care teams across the Emplify Health System.

Behavioral health services are available within the Elroy clinic, where a behavioral health nurse practitioner and multiple therapists’ partner with our primary care teams to support comprehensive patient care.

Our Elroy clinic is just minutes from Gundersen St. Joseph’s Hospital and our Hillsboro clinic, with St. Joseph’s offering a 13-bed critical access hospital with a 24/7 Emergency Department, specialty clinics, and surgical services, providing convenient access to additional resources while maintaining the close relationships and continuity that make rural family medicine so rewarding.

• No inpatient responsibilities (hospitalized patients are admitted and cared for by our established hospitalist and inpatient medical services)

About the Location:

Attractions include the Kickapoo and Baraboo Rivers, Wildcat Mountain State Park, Vernon County Round Barns, and a host of community events. Great fishing and hunting in the area. The City of Hillsboro also offers several public parks for recreational activities, including a beautiful walking trail adjacent to the hospital and the extremely popular Hillsboro State Bike Trail that connects to the historic “400” State Trail and the Elroy-Sparta Trail.

Located one hour from La Crosse, one and a half hours from Madison, and three hours from the Twin Cities and Milwaukee, it is an easy drive to any of these cities.

Must have completed an accredited graduate medical training program and be board certified or eligible within the area of medicine stated. In addition, must have or be able to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations. Medical staff in our system will supervise advanced practice clinicians. Medical staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system. Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all medical staff.
